Vans Warped tour3

The best known and largest tour of punk, hardcore, indie and ska. Founded in 1995 by promoter Kevin Lyman, it quickly grew to encompass all that was good and bad about festival tours. The shoe bmx/skateboarding manufacturer Vans, among others, has sponsored the tour every year since 1995, and it is often referred to as the Vans Warped Tour.The tour is held in venues such as parking lots or fields upon which the stages and other structures are erected. Though it manages to meld many progressive and counter-cultural ideas like skateboarding and punk, it has also become a center for youth-oriented product placement, and extensive advertising abounds. Despite that, it still boasts a huge range of acts and stages for almost any tastes, and has played host to notable acts like NOFX, Green Day, Bad Religion, Rancid, and Less Than Jake, to name but a few of the hundreds of bands who have played the international tour.
