Vader's third demo "Morbid Reich" is acclaimed as one of the best selling death metal demos of all time. Actually, it's considered one of the best selling metal demos in the history of all metal, selling over 10,000 copies!
The band initially started off as just a thrash band. Eventually, their form of "extreme" thrash became better known as their death metal sound. Many hail Vader as one of the first death metal bands from Poland, placing their country on the international death metal scene.
Though Daray had performed session drums on "The Beast," Krzysztof "Doc" Raczkowski officially left the band in 2005 after recovering from an ankle injury after "the whole band made the decision of his 'to be or not to be' last week" concerning life with his girlfriend and newborn son.
"Doc pretty hard tried to 'fight' against his weaknesses, which were troubles for all of us. Finally he had not prevail over that battle... All in all he attempted. Vader today is not just a friendship anymore - it's our life with armies of man involved in music, releases and - first of all - fans waiting for shows or new albums... This is a high responsibility, not too many know about. If a person, even the most talented one, cannot stand it - has to leave... That was Doc's decision as well."
Vader participated in "Originators Of The Northern Darkness - Tribute to Mayhem" compilation with a track "Freezing Moon."
Reportedly also released a demo in 1986 titled Tyrani Piekie [Tyrants of Hell].
Vader have contributed the song "Sword of the Witcher" to the PC game "The Witcher", based on Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski's popular and successful short stories and novel. A TV series and movie have been produced in Poland, such is the popularity of these stories. (info courtesy of Wikipedia and the official Witcher website)
